The project
Solo piano is where Andrea Goretti’s work as a leader began: introspective, meditative music in which virtuosity stays below the surface, and the work on harmony and dynamics evokes intimate emotions, far from the noise of the present.
A Light in the Darkness (Dodicilune, 2021) collects eleven extemporaneous compositions built on the alternation of light and darkness, with a poem written for the album by Umberto Petrin. SILENCES: The Impossible Show (Pascal Maurice éditeur, 2022), commissioned by the French publisher, features original music for the film No-Shows and reworkings of 1920s songs by Franz Lehár and Kurt Weill.
